Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end payroll process for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee payroll system administration and ensure seamless integration with HR and accounting systems.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax, UIF, and employee benefits.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare detailed reports for management.
• Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Manage the relationship with third-party service providers (e.g., pension funds, medical aid providers).
• Implement and maintain internal payroll policies and procedures.
• Lead and mentor the payroll team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (relevant certifications advantageous).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in payroll management, preferably in a medium-to-large organization.
• Strong knowledge of South African payroll regulations and tax laws.
• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Sage VIP, PaySpace, or similar) and MS Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on confidentiality.
