We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Planner to join our team in Middelburg, Mpumalanga. You will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing supply chain operations to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of goods. This role involves working closely with various departments to develop and implement logistics strategies while maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous process improvement. Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
A minimum of 3 years proven experience as a Logistics Planner or in a similar role
Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of industry trends and best practices
Ability to work in a team
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and manage logistics, warehouse operations, transportation, and customer services.
Coordinate and optimize supply chain operations to enhance efficiency.
Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and customers to ensure smooth processes.
Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics and prepare detailed reports.
Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Develop and implement cost-effective logistics strategies.
Negotiate contracts with logistics providers to optimize costs and services.
Identify and resolve potential logistics issues proactively.
Conduct audits and maintain accurate records of logistics activities.
Stay updated on industry developments and implement best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and sales.
