Job Description:
As the Group Accountant, your duties and responsibilities include the following:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for the group and its subsidiaries
Ensure accuracy and compliance with international financial reporting standards
Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for multiple branches across Africa
Ensure correct elimination of inter-company transactions and accurate group-level reporting
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
Analyze variances and advising on financial trends and performance
Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management
Highlight key performance indicators and suggest strategies for improving financial performance
Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory requirements
Monitor and manage the group’s cash flow
Ensure effective working capital management and adequate liquidity for operational needs
Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth and timely completion of annual audits
Oversee the preparation of tax filings
Continuously assess and improve financial systems and processes
Work closely with finance and operational teams across various branches
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports as requested by management
 
Skills & Experience:
2-3 years of post-article experience
Excellent communication skills
Strong knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools

Qualification:
Completed SAICA articles
Bcom Honours
