Duties:

• Financial Transaction Recording: Accurately record daily financial transactions in the appropriate journals.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with company records, addressing any discrepancies.
• Cashbook Management: Maintain and update the cashbook, ensuring the correct recording of receipts and payments.
• Fixed Asset Management: Oversee the fixed asset register, including handling acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
• VAT Compliance: Calculate, record, and submit VAT returns, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations.
• Foreign Currency Transactions: Manage and record foreign currency transactions, including necessary exchange rate adjustments.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports and assist with the preparation of financial statements.
• General Ledger Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts and assist with month-end and year-end closings.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:
Completed B.com degree
3-5 years of solid commercial accounting experience.
Experience with Sage 300 is a plus.
Advanced Excel skills are essential to succeed in this role.
