Full payroll process
Statutory submissions (VAT, PAYE, UIF, etc.)
Annual Audit and Financial Statements / reconciliations
Responsible for foreign payments (must have a good understanding of how the exchange rate works)
Payment of supplier invoices (creditor and debtor management)
You will be responsible for all accounting functions applicable to the company fleet (10 vehicles) and its drivers, as well as checking their logbooks etc.
Overseeing three junior accountants responsible for basic imports

Completed clerkship SAICA/ SAICA with a relevant financial qualification
A minimum of two (2) years working experience in the tourism industry
Strong knowledge of how the tourism VAT system works.
Computer literate, working with CRMs, ERPs and fairly complicated excel documents
Previous experience financial reporting and analysis (nice to have)
Bilingual – strong communication skills in English and Afrikaans
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Well organised, with excellent administrative skills
Must have a service-focused “can-do” attitude
Honest, trustworthy and reliable
