Hire Resolve is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our client’s team, a leading educational institution dedicated to delivering excellence in professional development and skills training. Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with South African higher education regulations and accreditation requirements.

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Manage day-to-day operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and process improvement.
• Monitor and report on key operational metrics, including efficiency, quality, and cost control.
• Ensure adherence to South African labor laws, occupational health and safety standards, and education sector policies.
• Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies.
• Handle escalated customer inquiries and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
• Supervise and mentor administrative and support staff.
• Facilitate ongoing training and professional development programs for team members.
• Conduct regular audits to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Support the implementation of learning management systems (LMS) and other digital tools.
• Streamline operational workflows using technology solutions.

• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial management efforts.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5-7 years in an operations management role, preferably within the education or training sector.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (required); postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA) preferred.
• Proven experience in managing teams, budgets, and cross-functional projects.
• Knowledge of South African educational frameworks (e.g., NQF, CHE, DHET, SETAs).
• Strong leadership skills to mentor and motivate teams effectively.
• Expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Familiarity with LMS platforms, ERP systems, and office productivity tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to South African cultural and professional contexts.
• Analytical skills to identify operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
