Role: PrEng Electrical Engineer – Utility-Scale Solar & BESS

Industry: Renewable Energy (Solar PV + Battery Energy Storage Systems)

Level: Senior

Key Requirements:

•           Registered Professional Electrical Engineer (PrEng) with a proven track record in utility-scale solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

•           7 years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy projects.

•           Extensive experience in the design, installation, and commissioning of large-scale solar PV systems and integrated energy storage solutions.

•           Strong knowledge of utility grid connections, power systems, and regulatory requirements for solar and BESS projects.

•           In-depth understanding of electrical design software, system modelling tools, and performance analysis (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst, Homer Pro, etc.).

•           Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and delivering complex projects on time, within scope, and within budget.

•           Familiarity with utility-scale electrical systems, including AC/DC power distribution, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and SCADA systems.

•           Knowledge of local and international electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., IEC, NRS, etc.).

•           Strong technical problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize large-scale solar + BESS systems.

•           Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation, including system designs, reports, and compliance assessments.
