We are seeking a highly skilled Web3 Accountant with a CA qualification to join our team in Cape Town and play a pivotal role in managing the financial complexities of the decentralized economy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial reporting and compliance within the Web3 and blockchain ecosystem.
• Manage cryptocurrency transactions, valuations, and reconciliations with traditional financial systems.
• Implement and monitor accounting frameworks for decentralized finance (DeFi) activities.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and relevant cryptocurrency legislation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support tokenomics, smart contract audits, and financial modeling.
• Conduct audits and financial analysis for digital asset portfolios and blockchain projects.
• Drive the development of accounting policies tailored to blockchain-based assets and transactions.
• Monitor financial risks and opportunities in the blockchain and Web3 space.

Qualifications and Skills:

• CA (SA) qualification is essential.
• At least 3+ years of post-qualification experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to technology or blockchain industries.
• Strong understanding of blockchain, cryptocurrency, and decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystems.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar), with experience in cryptocurrency accounting platforms being advantageous.
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly in reconciling complex transactions.
• Knowledge of global cryptocurrency regulations and financial compliance standards.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
