We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Tax and Compliance Manager with a CA (SA) qualification to lead and oversee all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the company’s tax function, ensuring compliance with all statutory tax obligations (e.g., VAT, corporate tax, PAYE).
• Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation, review, and submission of tax returns.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.
• Lead the compliance function, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards.
• Coordinate and manage relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
• Conduct internal tax reviews and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
• Provide expert advice on tax implications for business transactions and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of tax and compliance activities with overall business goals.

Qualifications and Skills:

• CA (SA) qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in tax and compliance management.
• In-depth knowledge of South African tax laws and regulations (experience with international tax is advantageous).
• Proven experience with tax planning, audits, and risk management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in financial systems and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Pastel, or similar).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High integrity and a thorough understanding of corporate governance.
