My client is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant with 3 to 5 years of experience in the accounting function to join their team, based in Fourways. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and be open to traveling to various sites and mines as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of management accounts
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
Conducting and overseeing stock counts
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather financial data
Utilising the Sage ERP system for financial reporting and analysis

Minimum Qualification and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting or a related field
3 to 5 years of experience in an accounting role
Proficiency in Sage ERP system is a must
Strong knowledge of management accounts, budgeting, and financial reporting
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Willingness to travel to various sites and mines as required
Excellent communication and organisational skills
