Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Resource to lead the Machining team in the ECOWAS region, in Ghana. The ideal candidate will have a technical understanding of both conventional machining and portable machining solutions, and the ability to independently execute on-site machining operations. This role demands a proactive problem-solver capable of scoping, specifying, and executing on-site machining projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Scoping & Job Specifications

• Visit customer sites to assess project requirements and determine the feasibility of machining solutions.
• Specify the appropriate portable machine tools for the job, considering operational constraints and customer needs.
• Identify and design additional bracketing, bearings, or support structures required to affix portable machines securely to the job site.
• Prepare technical reports and project plans outlining the machining scope, timeframes, and resource requirements.

Machining Operations

• Lead the setup, alignment, and operation of portable machining tools on customer sites.
• Execute machining operations, ensuring precision, efficiency, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical challenges encountered during machining operations.

Demonstration & Customer Engagement

• Conduct demonstrations of portable machining tools for customers, showcasing capabilities and best practices.
• Provide technical advice and support to customers regarding machining solutions.

Tool Maintenance & Repair

Perform basic maintenance and repairs on portable machining tools, ensuring their optimal functionality.

Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and consumables, and coordinate procurement as needed.

Leadership & Team Development

• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Act as the technical point of contact for machining projects within the ECOWAS region.
