The Kamoa Copper Mine is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometers west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometers west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To maintain, service and repair mechanical components on Pumps and pumping systems to ensure their availability for mining operations. The incumbent tasks a small group of Assistants and the scope / portfolio of this role includes performing planned and preventative maintenance and attending to breakdowns.
You will have the following:
- Must have a N4 Certificate
- Qualified Trade tested Boiler maker
- Must have completed relevant safety and risk assessment training and courses
- Must have at least 6 years’ experience as a post qualified trade tested artisan in the mining sector
- Must have at least 6 years’ experience working with Metso, Scamont and Multistage pumps and pumping systems in the mining sector
- Proficiency in business English is mandatory. Knowledge of French, Swahili, and Mandarin will be considered highly advantageous.

Your Key Performance Activities will include but not limited to:
• Maintenance and repairs of pumping systems-Undertake planned and unplanned repairs on machinery, ensuring maximum availability for mining operations. Undertake assorted other tasks for the benefit of Mining and Workshops.
• Stakeholder management- Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
• Manage self and show up as a good team player
• Finance - Monitor costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste
• Transformation, Change and Culture - Support Transformation in terms of people, automation/ digitization and sustainability
• HSEQ- Integrate HSEQ into all work processes
