Job Title: Service Consultant
Reporting To: Service Team Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Service Consultant. This role provides crucial administrative support to advisors, ensuring the efficient execution of all client service-related processes. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and maintaining a high standard of client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draw investments and risk quotes to assist advisors in offering the best solutions to clients.
- Prepare and organize new business files, including applications, for advisors.
- Submit new business applications and manage the entire process to ensure timely execution.
- Manage existing business queries, providing updates to advisors and clients promptly.
- Ensure compliance documents are received, properly stored, and organized.
- Perform general administrative duties across all product lines offered to clients.
- Liaise with product providers, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in preparing for quarterly and annual compliance audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is in place.
Candidate Requirements
Skills and Attributes:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams).
- Strong initiative, capable of taking ownership of tasks and projects.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to organize work efficiently and manage competing priorities.
- Professional and presentable appearance.
- Reliable transport for commuting to work.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Required Knowledge / Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Service Consultant in the financial planning industry.
- Experience with X-Plan or similar industry-related tools would be an advantage.
- Strong computer literacy and familiarity with office software.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Matric or equivalent high school qualification.
