Job Title: Medical Aid and Employee Benefits Assistant
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as a Medical Aid and Employee Benefits Assistant. In this role, the successful candidate will provide vital administrative support to Medical Aid and Employee Benefits Consultants, assisting with the management of medical aid schemes and employee benefits for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the onboarding and termination process for members on medical aid schemes.
- Reconcile monthly billing reports to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
- Assist with medical aid-related queries from members and clients.
- Distribute membership certificates to members promptly.
- Process new medical aid applications and ensure all documentation is complete.
- Liaise with medical aid service providers on underwriting and coverage-related queries.
- Handle the addition or removal of dependents on medical aid schemes.
- Notify members of any changes or updates to their medical aid membership.
- Plan and coordinate Wellness Days for clients, ensuring smooth execution.
- Engage with members to address any medical aid-related inquiries.
- Organize year-end reviews to discuss benefits, coverage, and renewals.
- Maintain and update the medical aid client database to ensure accuracy.

Candidate Requirements
Required Knowledge / Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Medical Aid or Employee Benefits Assistant.
- Proficient in computer skills, with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with X-Plan or other industry-related tools is advantageous.
