Job Description:Leading importer and distributor of confectionery products, specializing in supplying wholesalers with a wide range of delicious treats seeks a Sales Manager to lead their sales team and drive growth within our key accounts.You will be responsible for managing and growing our confectionery sales business, overseeing a team of 4-8 sales representatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a proven track record in sales management, and expertise in managing key accounts within the confectionery industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing effective sales strategies, nurturing client relationships, and achieving sales targets.Location: Parow Industrial

Requirements:
Sales Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 4-8 sales representatives.
- Set performance targets, monitor progress, and provide guidance and coaching to maximize individual and team productivity.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and provide ongoing development opportunities.
Key Account Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing key accounts.
- Identify growth opportunities within key accounts and develop strategic account plans.
- Regularly review sales performance, resolve customer issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional activities and initiatives to increase sales.
New Business Development:
- Identify and target new business opportunities within the confectionery market.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and understand industry trends.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets and expand customer base.
- Manage the entire sales process, from lead generation to deal closure.
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify sales opportunities and market gaps.
- Set ambitious sales targets and monitor progress, taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Prepare regular sales reports and provide accurate sales forecasts to senior management.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate closely with internal departments, including logistics and finance, to ensure efficient order fulfilment and payment processes.
- Communicate effectively with customers, resolving any issues or concerns promptly.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and build relationships.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a sales manager in the confectionery industry or a similar FMCG environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings and industry events.
