ENVIRONMENT:

A fast-paced Data and Cybersecurity Specialist seeks a Senior Network Engineer with 6+ years’ relevant work experience with a focus on large-scale, cloud-based environments. You will lead the design, implementation, and management of cutting-edge network infrastructure supporting Internet Services and the software ecosystem. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strategic vision to ensure high availability, scalability, and security of the network environment while driving innovation and operational efficiency. You must preferably have CCNA, CCIE, JNCIE, AWS/Azure/GCP Networking Certifications with proven experience managing networks for enterprise-grade cloud platforms and SaaS applications & strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS). You will need hands-on experience with cloud networking using VMware NSX or similar and be proficient with Cisco, Juniper and Super Micro, VPNs, SD-WAN, Load Balancing, Cloud Overlay networks and traffic optimization, IPv4/IPv6, DNS, and DHCP, Ansible, Terraform.

DUTIES:

Network Architecture and Design –

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and secure network infrastructure supporting cloud platforms and enterprise software solutions.
• Develop and optimize hybrid cloud network topologies, including private, public, and edge deployments.
• Collaborate with Cloud Architects to align network designs with application and service requirements.

Network Operations and Maintenance –

• Manage day-to-day operations of the network, ensuring uptime, performance, and reliability across data centers and distributed environments.
• Monitor network health, conduct capacity planning, and resolve complex network incidents and performance bottlenecks.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures and documentation for network changes and incidents.

Security and Compliance –

• Implement robust security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and DDoS mitigation strategies, to protect cloud and software services.
• Collaborate with the Infrastructure team to address vulnerabilities and secure the network from threats.

Automation and Innovation –

• Drive automation of network tasks using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar frameworks to improve efficiency and reduce human error.

Collaboration and Leadership –

• Act as a technical leader and mentor for Junior Engineers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Cloud Operations, Internal Team leads and Management, to support business objectives.
• Engage with vendors and partners to evaluate new technologies and ensure optimal network performance and cost-efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred Qualifications –

• CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, AWS/Azure/GCP Networking Certifications.

Experience/Skills –

• 6+ Years of experience in Network Engineering, with a focus on large-scale, cloud-based environments.
• Proven expertise in managing networks for enterprise-grade cloud platforms and SaaS applications.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking using VMware NSX or similar.
• Proficiency with network devices from vendors like Cisco, Juniper and Super Micro.
• Expertise in VPNs, SD-WAN, Load Balancing, Cloud Overlay networks and traffic optimization.
• Strong understanding of IPv4/IPv6, DNS, and DHCP.
• Proficiency in Automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
