A mining company in the east of Johannesburg is seeking a mid level mechanical engineer.

We are looking for a talented and motivated Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that drives cutting-edge designs and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, analyze, and implement mechanical systems and components for a variety of projects.
• Conduct engineering analysis using tools such as [insert relevant software, e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS].
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., electrical, production, and quality control) to ensure design feasibility and optimization.
• Support the testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
• Ensure that designs meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to product improvements, cost-reduction initiatives, and process optimization.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical support and feedback.
• Participate in design reviews, feasibility studies, and cost estimations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, analysis, and development.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
• Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical principles.
• Familiarity with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools.
• Experience with project management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
