The client is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong sales acumen in the mining industry. The primary responsibility is managing the installation of mining equipment within underground mines and building client relationships to drive sales of solutions and spares. The role involves overseeing the project execution and handover phase. The Project Manager will work closely with clients in the field to identify new project opportunities and promote the company's products and services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Management
   
   
   
   • Oversee and manage the installation of mining equipment into underground mines.
   
   
   • Handle project execution of each project, ensuring completion from startup through to final handover.
   
   
   • Maintain project timelines and quality standards.
   
   
   • Ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols on-site.
     
     
   
   
   
   


2. Sales and Business Development
   
   
   
   • Identify potential project opportunities within the mining sector,
   
   
   • Engage directly with clients to promote solutions and spares.
   
   
   • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular site visits.
     
     
   
   
   
   


3. Client and Area Scoping
   
   
   
   • Conduct site assessments to scope upcoming projects, gaining insights into client needs and preferences.
   
   
   • Work collaboratively with the sales and technical teams to align solutions with client requirements.
   
   
   • Provide regular feedback on market and competitor activity in the region.
     
     
   
   
   
   


4. Administrative and Technical Proficiency
   
   
   
   • Utilize MS Projects to track and report on project progress.
   
   
   
   

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Project Management within the mining industry.


• Proven track record in sales, preferably within the mining equipment sector.


• Proficient in MS Projects.


• Strong knowledge of underground mining operations and equipment.


• Must be medically fit and have a clear criminal record.
