Job Description:
As the Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:
Manage and maintain fixed asset registers
Prepare and review financial reports in line with industry standards
Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes
Perform reconciliations and ensure compliance with accounting policies
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting and financial analysis
Ensure accurate processing of financial transactions using SAP
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for various departments
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Perform regular bank account reconciliations
Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Identify areas of improvement and efficiency
Analyze costs and financial performance
Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements
Additional ad-hoc duties as required by management
 
Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in SAP and other accounting software
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Minimum of 2 years commercial experience performing the full finance function

Qualification:
Relevant Financial or Accounting diploma or degree
Completed SAICA/SAIPA articles would be advantageous
Grade 12 (Matric)
