Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Engineering Manager to lead and optimize production operations within our client’s oil and gas facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving production efficiency, ensuring equipment reliability, and managing engineering teams to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Operations Management:

• Oversee production processes to ensure maximum efficiency and output while minimizing downtime.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize production performance and reduce costs.
• Monitor production data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and mentor a team of production engineers, technicians, and support staff.
• Foster a collaborative and performance-driven work environment.
• Ensure staff are trained and competent in operational and safety procedures.

Engineering Excellence:

• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of production systems and equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure the reliability and availability of production facilities.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues affecting production.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):

• Promote and enforce strict adherence to HSE standards and practices.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.

Project Management:

• Plan and execute production-related projects, including equipment upgrades, facility expansions, and process improvements.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to achieve objectives.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure all production activities comply with South African regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics, equipment certifications, and compliance audits.

Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare and present detailed production reports and performance analyses to senior management.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve operational performance and efficiency.
