KAMOA COPPER SA is looking for a Senior Officer, Engineering and Maintenance Training (Electrical)

The Kamoa Copper Mine, is a joint venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). It's a very large, near-surface, flat-lying, stratiform copper deposit with adjacent prospective exploration areas within the Central African Copperbelt, at approximately 25 kilometres west of the town of Kolwezi and about 270 kilometres west of the provincial capital of Lubumbashi.

To develop, implement and conduct Artisan training programs, and to oversee the engineering Artisan trade-specific training. Training is focused on Engineering SOPs and the supervision of the use of mining equipment and machinery.

You will have the following:

• High School Diploma
• Trade tested Electrical
• Facilitation qualification
• 5 years' relevant experience in mining production and 2 years’ supervisory experience
• 2-3 years’ experience in facilitating training
• Fluency in French, English and Swahili

You will have advanced skills and knowledge in:

• INPP standards
• Familiarity with Engineering Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Relevant DRC labour legislation
• MS Office
• JDE, STG
• Usulama
• SAGE

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop training programs for Artisans
• Train newly-recruited Artisans
• Follow up on on-site practical training for Artisans
• Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation
