We're looking for a motivated Regional Lead - Risk to oversee a diverse team in South Africa. This role requires exceptional leadership, a strategic mindset, and the ability to align local operations with regional and global objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement the offshore strategy set by the CRO.
• Oversee South African risk team cost reviews and forecasting.
• Provide senior management with regular updates on office progress.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, IT, finance, HR, and facilities.
• Optimize systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy, working closely with onshore offices and IT teams.
• Monitor adherence to procedures within the Oil, Metals, and Coal framework.
• Develop and track KPIs using a reporting dashboard for the office.
• Provide effective leadership to foster a high-performance culture.
• Conduct resource and succession planning in coordination with HR and business heads.
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members, ensuring continuous learning and growth.
• Oversee recruitment and team structure optimization.
• Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in Oil and Metals offices, identifying synergies.
• Provide senior management with insights into performance and strategic recommendations.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant bachelor's degree.
• 15+ years of leadership experience in a regulatory or risk management environment.
• Background in finance, banking, or risk management is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex priorities.
