Recruiting for a Civil / Structural Engineer in Cape Town.

Provide specialist technical guidance and support on building infrastructure projects, maintenance and OHS related projects. The role also includes project managing, planning design and contract administration of the built environment for our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform complex civil engineering designs
Project leader or Design Engineer
Compile and review project / technical reports and data collection
Facilitate the procurement process for planned work
Accountable for quality standards, legal and contractual aspects and stakeholder relations for the project
Proficient in the use of civil engineering software, in particular Civil 3D, AutoCAD/ Revit, iDAS and project management software.

Qualification and Experience:

Postgraduate Degree (NQF8) Bachelor of Science in Engineering, BTech Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
Minimum 8 years’ experience in the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, of which 5 years is in managing large-scale projects in the same field
Proficient in the use of Civil Engineering software, in particular Civil 3D, AutoCAD/Revit and iDAS
Advanced project management skills
Lead teams on multi-disciplinary projects
Overall knowledge in all aspects of civil engineering, including bulk earthworks, roads, water, sewer, and stormwater design
