ENVIRONMENT:
OUR client, a reputable online tutoring service, committed to delivering high-quality academic support to students across the UK seeks a passionate Maths & English Tutor HIGH SCHOOL – NOT NEGOTIABLE, with a minimum 4-6 years proven experience. You must possess either a Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed.) OR Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) OR Diploma in Teaching. They provide personalized one-on-one tutoring in a wide range of subjects, focusing on helping students achieve their academic goals through expert instruction and customized learning plans. You will work remotely online using zoom; teaching students based in the UK and providing academic guidance during flexible evening hours. This role is ideal for professionals looking to supplement their income or Educators looking for part-time remote work.
DUTIES:
- Deliver engaging and personalized online tutoring sessions tailored to students' needs.
- Assess students’ progress and adapt teaching strategies to improve learning outcomes.
- Develop and execute lesson plans based on the student’s curriculum and areas of difficulty.
- Create a positive, supportive learning environment to encourage student participation.
- Utilize online platforms and tools effectively to deliver lessons (e.g., Zoom, Google Classroom).
- Maintain communication with students and parents, providing updates on progress and challenges.
REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications –
- Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed.) OR Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) OR Diploma in Teaching.
Experience/Skills –
- A minimum of 4-6 + years English & Maths primary school or up to Grade 12.
- The client is only interested in candidates who can tutor in the following areas: English & Maths Primary school or up to Grade 12.
- Prior experience in Tutoring or Teaching, especially in an online setting, is highly desirable.
- Strong command of the subject matter and ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Excellent communication skills
- Essential to be computer literate using different applications ie. Zoom, Calendly.
- Proficient in using digital tools and platforms for remote teaching.
- Access to a reliable computer and stable internet connection.
