Qualifications to Succeed:

Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science or a related field.
Nearly or newly qualified Actuary, with progress in completing normative skills toward Fellowship.
Around 5 years of experience in actuarial valuations and/or reporting.
SQL.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Valuation Leadership: Consolidate, review, and analyze actuarial valuation results under IFRS, SAM, and Embedded Value bases.
Accuracy and Reasonability: Ensure liability and embedded value calculations align with parameters and provide actionable insights.
Profit Analysis: Assist management in understanding the drivers of performance and business profitability.
Problem Solving: Resolve valuation issues in collaboration with business units.
Process Enhancement: Identify and implement improvements to optimize valuation workflows.
Product Stewardship: Take ownership of assigned products, ensuring compliance and alignment with statutory expectations.
Data Insights: Support periodic experience investigations, sensitivity testing, and generate impactful recommendations.
Timely Delivery: Maintain compliance with group standards and reporting deadlines.

This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, leveraging SAP’s data platforms to support analytics, reporting, and decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP data tools and technologies, as well as a deep understanding of data architecture and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and manage scalable data pipelines using SAP tools (e.g., SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Data Services, SAP HANA) to facilitate the movement, transformation, and integration of data across systems.
Data Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP data with other data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), ensuring smooth data flow and availability for analytics and reporting.
Data Architecture: Work closely with data architects to design robust, scalable data solutions aligned with best practices and business requirements.
Data Modelling: Build and optimize complex data models in SAP environments to enable efficient data storage, access, and analysis, supporting various business use cases.
Data Quality and Governance: Implement data quality checks, validation processes, and governance practices to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and tune the performance of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to meet system performance and data processing requirements.
Collaboration and Documentation: Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and document solutions, providing clear and comprehensive documentation for all data engineering activities.
Innovation and Best Practices: Stay updated with the latest SAP data technologies, industry trends, and best practices, continuously enhancing our data engineering processes and tools.

Requirements:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a data engineering role, with a focus on SAP data tools and platforms.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SAP data platforms, including SAP HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Data Services, and SAP Data Intelligence.
- Strong SQL and ETL development skills, with experience in data extraction, transformation, and integration.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience integrating SAP data into cloud environments.
- Experience with data modelling, data warehousing concepts, and building optimized data structures for analytics.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality standards, and data security best practices.
- Programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages are a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

SAP certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA).
Experience with machine learning and advanced analytics on SAP platforms.
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and BI reporting.
