We are Africa’s leading commercial and naval Shipbuilder and Ship Repair Company. We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our planning team and help us drive and ensure successful project execution. The ideal candidate will be detailoriented and meticulous, with an exceptional work ethic and familiarity with the latest project management software. The candidate will also be expected to perform the role by relevant policies, processes, standards, and procedures and in alignment with our vision, mission, and values.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Generate and communicate regular progress reports. • Constant review of plans and updating as required. • Measuring key variables of the plan such as reviewing actual hours worked versus planned. • Managing the delivery schedule of equipment procured from local and overseassuppliers. • Liaising with the Finance department regarding supplier payment queries for equipment procured to maintain delivery lead timelines. • Liaising with logistics partners to track delivery of local and overseas procuredequipment. • Managing and updating major subcontractors' project plans. • Managing the Master schedule and project plan. • Weekly instructions highlighting corrective actions required for signature. • Supporting other Departments where required with their functional area plans. • Providing updates to the Project Manager on the progress of the project plans. JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum 3 -5 years’ relevant experience ideally within a planning or project management environment. • Experience in working with Planning Software packages in Shipbuilding (advantageous). • Exposure and knowledge of shipbuilding procedures. • Must be well experienced with primavera. QUALIFICATIONS: • National Senior certificate • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Business, Supply chain management, or a similar field a preference for project planning-related studies.
