Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Designer to join a leading player in the rigid plastics industry, based in Ottery. This is an exceptional opportunity for a design professional with expertise in mould design and a strong understanding of blow moulding and injection moulding processes.Location: Ottery, Cape Town

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop moulds for manufacturing rigid plastic products.
Oversee complete projects from concept to industrialization.
Design components based on briefs, ensuring functionality and appropriate material selection.
Manage mould trials and provide relevant documentation to trial staff.
Source and collaborate on mould components.
Work closely with toolmakers during all mould manufacturing phases.
Maintain and update the mould/drawing database.
Troubleshoot component and mould issues effectively.
Lead or contribute to technical projects related to toolroom and production improvements.

Requirements:

Proven experience in mould design within a Toolroom environment.
Proficiency in SolidWorks.
In-depth knowledge of blow moulding and injection moulding processes.
