As Field Technician in the hygiene industry, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective installation, maintenance, and servicing of hygiene equipment and systems. You will be responsible for handling service calls, conducting routine maintenance visits, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and strong communication skills to deliver high-quality service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation: Assist in the installation of hygiene equipment and systems at client sites, ensuring proper setup and functionality according to company standards and client requirements.
Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance checks on hygiene equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Identify any issues or potential problems and take appropriate action to address them promptly.
Service Calls: Respond to service calls from clients in a timely manner, diagnosing equipment issues and implementing effective solutions to resolve them. Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the service process to ensure satisfaction and minimise downtime.
Service Visits: Conduct scheduled service visits to client sites to perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, calibration, and inspections. Document findings and recommendations for future reference and follow-up.
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot technical problems with hygiene equipment, utilizing diagnostic tools and resources to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Client Interaction: Interact professionally with clients to understand their needs, address any concerns or questions, and provide guidance on equipment usage and maintenance best practices.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports, maintenance logs, and equipment inventory. Ensure all documentation is complete, organised, and submitted in a timely manner.

Candidate Requirements
Education and Experience:Matric required
Previous experience in a related field, such as maintenance technician, field service technician, or similar role, is advantageous
Requirements:
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Experience with troubleshooting and repairing equipment is preferred.
Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and management.
Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation with a focus on delivering exceptional service and building positive client relationships.
Problem-Solving: Ability to analyse problems, identify solutions, and implement effective troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical issues.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and respond to emergency service calls as needed.
Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license (Code 10 preferred) and clean driving record are required for this position, as travel to client sites is essential.
