This role involves the interpreting of GA drawings and technical specifications then preparing detailed project costings, sourcing suppliers of technical componentry and project cost management amongst other things.

Candidate Requirements

Requirements:

Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Costing Management, Engineering, Cost Estimating or related field will be preferred.
Proven experience in technical sourcing and costing, preferably in the manufacturing or marine industry. (Aluminium Boats)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Proficient in sourcing software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of boats and or boat building construction processes is highly advantageous.
Knowledge of basic imports and exports advantageous
Understanding of Pastel Accounting programmes is advantageous, but not essential
Proficiency in MS Office (Email, Word, Excel, Projects, PowerPoint)
Sound Technical/ Engineering background
Relationship management skills
Negotiation skills
Project Costing and Management

Experience and Qualifications:
