PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all equipment of the plant.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure effective planning of maintenance.
• Communicate stock levels and stock shortages.
• Control stock levels and critical spares.
• Manage budget effectively.
• Maintain quality and ISO standards.
• Ensure adherence to preventative maintenance.
• Manage and control stock losses.
• Plan and control of overtime and wage costs.
• Ensure housekeeping is up to standard.
• Ensure the effectiveness is executive on the cost of maintenance and electricity.
• Develop, motivate, train and appraise direct reporting staff.
• Performing of additional tasks as and when required and performing it to best of ability and according to company standards and procedures.
• Adhere to health, safety and bio security policies, procedures, standards, and practices.
Required Skills
- Boilermaker Trade: 2 to 3 years
Candidate Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETANCIES
• Grade 12 (NQF 4)
• NTC3 / Qualified Boilermaker/ Welder or equivalent qualification.
• Ability to do design and layout pipes. (Compulsory)
• Ability to weld all sorts of steel e.g. stainless / mild / cast Iron. (Compulsory)
• 3 Years' trade experience in a related field.
• Proficient in English, being bilingual will be highly advantageous.
• Valid Code B drivers’ license and own reliable transport
• South African citizen.
• Be willing to work shifts (Day/Night), weekends, Sundays, on external sites, overtime and on public holidays when necessary.
