Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform shaft maintenance and timbering tasks to ensure the safety and stability of underground operations
• Conduct inspections and identify potential hazards or structural weaknesses
• Assemble, install, and repair shaft timber and other structural supports
• Safely operate tools and equipment in alignment with company and industry standards
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe working environment
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations

Minimum Requirements

• 3 years underground experience
• Proven experience as a Shaft Timberman or similar role in an underground mining environment
• Blasting Certificate and Onsetter's Certificate
• Strong understanding of mining safety standards and procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under challenging conditions
• Physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces
