Candidate Requirements

Key Responsibilities

·        Provide one-to-one counselling, and conduct group counselling sessions

·        Conduct assessments of all new program participants

·        Follow treatment plans with clients, and regularly review and revise plans on an ongoing and intentional basis

·        Run educational groups discussing issues

·        Provide emotional and physical well-being coping skills to patients

·        Chart the daily progress of patients

·        Complete all other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.

• Diploma in General Nursing.

• Current registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC)

Additional Skills

·        • Preparing, controlling and replenishment stock.

·        • Support the patient on their arrival into facility.

·        • Effective communication with patients regarding their care.

·        • Ensure that all patients have an appropriate nursing care plan.

·        • Ensure all necessary equipment is on hand and ready for use.

·        • Check emergency resuscitation drugs and record.

·        • Report and act upon potential/actual risks identified.

·        • Always maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

·        • Assume responsibility for own personal and professional development.

·        • Problem-solving, analysis and judgement.

·        • Professional flexibility in working hours while supporting daily business hours.
