We are a leading building services company specializing in delivering innovative and high-quality mechanical solutions for various projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial developments. We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Draughtsman with expertise in Wet Services and Fire Protection Systems to join our dynamic team.

Duties:

Prepare detailed mechanical drawings for wet services (including plumbing, drainage, and HVAC) and fire protection systems (sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, etc.).
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop and refine mechanical design solutions.
Create detailed layouts, schematics, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software.
Ensure compliance with local and international codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, SANS, ASHRAE).
Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, structural, electrical) to resolve design conflicts and ensure seamless project integration.
Review and update existing drawings based on client feedback and site conditions.
Assist in the preparation of bill of materials (BOM) and other project documentation.

Key Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman, with specific expertise in wet services and fire protection systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD software is essential.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems design, including piping, drainage, and fire safety standards.
Familiarity with local and international building codes and regulations related to wet and fire systems.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
