Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Finance Manager to lead and oversee the financial operations of our manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the full financial function, ensuring effective financial management, compliance, and strategic planning. This position requires an individual with strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of the manufacturing industry, and an ability to contribute to our company’s growth and profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cost control.
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the preparation and monitoring of budgets, variance analysis, and performance metrics.
- Provide financial projections, identify risks, and propose solutions to optimize financial performance.
- Cost Management & Optimization:
- Analyze manufacturing costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive efficiency improvements.
- Monitor inventory and production costs to maintain optimal profitability.
- Internal Controls & Compliance:
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and procedures to ensure financial accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial laws, and corporate governance requirements.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management:
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with banks and other financial institutions to secure funding when necessary.
- Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, providing direction, training, and professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, production, and sales) to align financial goals with business objectives.
- Strategic Planning & Analysis:
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic business decisions, capital investments, and operational improvements.
- Contribute to business planning, risk assessment, and expansion initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (required).
- Minimum 5 of experience in financial management, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- Proven experience in full-function financial management, including financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory control, and production processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
