SENIOR PROFESSIONAL OFFICER

TCOE SALARY COMMENCING FROM R1,005,233 TO R1,363,842 PER ANNUM ● REF NO: WS 101/24 ● CAPE TOWN

Requirements:  

• A relevant Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design or similar 
• Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience working with graphics, preferably in Adobe Creative Cloud
• Experience in videography, photography and animation advantageous
• Driver’s licence and own vehicle.

Key performance areas: 

• Provide creative input and assist in the development of strategic communications projects within the Water and Sanitation Directorate
• Design and develop Water and Sanitation promotional material to provide quality promotional material for the Directorate, in adherence with Corporate Guidelines and with the approval of Corporate Communications
• Prepare scamps and storyboards, discuss them with clients and supervisors and making necessary changes for approval
• Ensure the timeous production and distribution of graphic material as required by the Directorate
• Ensure timeous approval, production and distribution of Directorate graphic material to internal and external clients (including approval by Corporate Communications)
• Network, communicate and liaise with clients (internal or external) to brainstorm, and/or determine the graphic needs required for Water and Sanitation projects
• Ensure that legal and other requirements are complied with in all functional operations
• Present concepts to clients within scope and area of authority
• Draft routine correspondence and reports
• Respond/resolve enquiries while maintaining good professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Administer the Information Technology within the functional area to ensure that the Unit is appropriately equipped with relevant hardware and software to produce professional promotional material
• Provide financial support role for key aspects of this job function by assisting with procurement, providing financial information, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies and procedures.
