- Relevant three-year tertiary qualification
- Three (3) years’ relevant experience
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Facilitate the City-wide legislative commenting process
- Assist with administering the advocacy tracker. engaging routinely with the City's advocacy agenda
- Participate in the advocacy programme. including assisting to develop the advocacy toolkit
- Undertake ad hoc research requests to support strategy, policy, advocacy and by-law development and strategic decision making
- Assist managing policies through the policy process
- Manage relationships within line departments to facilitate transversal and informed policy development
- Undertake routine policy and strategy analysis
- Support the development of diverse policy and strategy instruments
- Discuss, contextualise, and communicate research and analysis outputs verbally, in presentations, and in the form of written reports
- Handle routine administrative tasks to support the effective functioning of the Strategic Policy Branch
- Contribute inputs into the legal drafting process.
