Job brief
A start-up company in Lynnwood is looking for a Data Engineer to join their company and help grow their data
engineering competency.

Minimum Education:
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field

Minimum Experience:
• 2+ years' experience in a similar role

Requirements and skills
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g. Python)
• Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka would be a
bonus
• Knowledge of database management systems, both relational (e.g., SQL,
PostgreSQL) and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
• Experience in building or maintaining ETL processes
• Familiarity with data integration and analytical tools, such as Azure Synapse
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities


Responsibilities
• Work closely with a cross-functional team to help build complex algorithms that
provide unique insights into our data
• Model front-end and back-end data sources to help draw a more comprehensive
picture of user flows throughout the system and to enable powerful data analysis
• Build data pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate data from disparate sources
• Develop models that can be used to make predictions and answer questions for the
overall business
