Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our client's dynamic team in Rivonia.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting site investigations, analyzing soil and rock mechanics, and providing geotechnical recommendations for construction and environmental projects. The role will involve designing and overseeing geotechnical solutions, managing projects, and liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform geotechnical site investigations, including borehole drilling, soil sampling, and laboratory testing.
• Analyze geotechnical data and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for foundation design, slope stability, and groundwater management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design geotechnical solutions for infrastructure, commercial, and environmental projects.
• Review and assess geotechnical risks for development projects and provide mitigation strategies.
• Assist with tender preparation, project planning, and budget management.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements:

• BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) is an advantage.
• Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical design principles and soil mechanics.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., Plaxis, GeoStudio, gINT).
• Excellent communication, report writing, and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
