Our client in Cape Town is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Internal Sales Representative to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service and sales background, with prior experience in the building supply industry being advantageous. Knowledge of tile products is a plus. Candidates should be computer literate, have excellent communication skills (both oral and written), and demonstrate a keen attention to detail. A proven ability to learn quickly, coupled with a strong work ethic, excellent time keeping, and a reliable attendance record, will make you an ideal fit for this role.

REQUIREMENTS:

Matric
Computer literate
Previous experience in Building supply industry is advantageous
Customer Service and Selling Skills
Tile product knowledge (advantageous)
Be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to learn and adapt quickly
Attention to Detail
Excellent time-keeping and work ethic/ attendance record

DUTIES:

Provide an efficient and effective service to all customers entering the shop.
Refer or escort the customers to the showroom upstairs.
Provide the customer with the required application and technical information regarding colour, grade, price, stock availability and use of tiling related products, i.e., tile adhesive, spacers, etc.
Use sales and marketing techniques to influence customer to purchase Malls products, to ‘buy up’, etc.
Make out an order and advise customer of process, i.e., payment to cashier, arranging delivery, dispatch from Warehouse, etc.
Follow-up with customers who required samples or measurements.
Ensure Sales Representative area is neat and clean at all times to create the correct impression.
Ensure that the personal appearance is immaculate at all times to project positive sales and company image.

HOURS:

Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
Saturdays: 08:00 – 15:00
Alternate Sundays: 09:00 – 14:00
