Job Title: Chemical Engineer

Location:

Limpopo, Waterberg District, Lephalale

Job Type:

6 month Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Job Duties:

• Designing and implementing chemical processes
• Conducting research to develop new chemical products
• Overseeing the operation of chemical processes
• Evaluating equipment and processes to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Collaborating with other engineers and professionals to develop solutions to chemical-related problems

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineering with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)

Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical engineering, particularly in the following areas:
  
  
  
  • Design and optimization of chemical processes related to Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) or similar environmental compliance systems.
  • Experience in process design, wastewater treatment systems, chemical reaction engineering, and chemical handling and storage.
  • Proven track record in process safety management and conducting hazard and operability studies (HAZOP).
  • Experience in leading the design, implementation, and commissioning of chemical systems for power generation or industrial facilities.
