Job Title: Design Engineer

Location: Limpopo, Waterberg District, Lephalale

Job Type: 6 month Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours

Job Duties:

• Create detailed design drawings and specifications for engineering projects
• Collaborate with other engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet requirements
• Conduct research to gather information on project requirements and constraints
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop designs
• Perform calculations and analysis to validate design choices
• Prepare and present design proposals to clients and stakeholders
• Review and modify designs based on feedback and testing results
• Ensure designs adhere to industry standards and regulations

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
• PrEng with Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
• Proven experience working as a Design Engineer
• Proficiency in CAD software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in design engineering in large-scale industrial projects, particularly in power generation, chemical processing, or environmental engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in conceptual design, detailed engineering design, and project execution.
• Previous experience in designing and executing Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) systems or similar complex process systems is preferred.
• Must have prior assignments as a Lead Design Engineer in complex, multidisciplinary projects.
