Job Summary
As the SDR Team Lead, you will lead a team of talented SDRs, drive their success in generating qualified leads, and ensure smooth transitions to the sales team. Your leadership will be pivotal in aligning team efforts with the company’s sales objectives and strategies. You will coach and mentor SDRs, optimize processes, and help achieve team and individual targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and mentor the SDR team to meet and exceed lead generation and sales targets. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, providing feedback and guidance to enhance SDR performance. Organize daily huddles, set team goals, and offer solutions to obstacles encountered by the team.
- Sales Process Management: Manage and monitor SDR activities, including cold calling, email campaigns, and lead qualification. Collaborate with marketing and sales operations to ensure consistent messaging and smooth lead handoffs. Define and refine prospecting techniques to improve conversion rates and overall success.
- Pipeline Development & Personal Contribution: Actively contribute by developing your pipeline of prospects and meeting your personal activity goals. Ensure SDRs accurately qualify leads before passing them on to account executives.
- Reporting & Metrics: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for the SDR team and report progress to the Head of Sales. Use HubSpot CRM and other lead-generation tools to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure a unified approach to client acquisition. Assist in refining go-to-market strategies and feedback loops between teams.
Skills & Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a sales or business development leadership role, ideally within a tech or SaaS environment.
- Proven track record of leading and developing a sales team in a fast-paced, competitive market.
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) and sales processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized, with a results-driven approach to both personal and team performance.
Preferred
- Experience in a startup or scale-up environment.
- Familiarity with tax compliance or financial services solutions is an advantage.
