Position Overview: The Operations Manager will oversee the nightly operations of our coordination business. You will be responsible for managing a team of supervisors and drivers, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving operational efficiency, managing inventory levels, and developing and implementing process improvements.
Responsibilities:
1. Efficient management of operations to ensure that the operational process and procedures are always in place to meet the requirements of all clients, and to maximize the efficiency of the branch operations.
2. Manage and lead a team of supervisors and drivers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
3. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators and make necessary adjustments to meet business goals.
4. Manage customer relationships and address any concerns or issues.
5. Develop and implement safety procedures to ensure compliance with local and national regulations.
6. Analyse data and provide regular reports to senior management.
7. Effective Load planning
8. Coordinate and execute load instructions.
9. Prepare full handover report to dayshift/nightshift team.
10. Identify and report problem areas.
11. Manage clocking times and overtime daily, to ensure clocking accuracy and eliminate excess overtime
12. Able to manage a medium sized multicultural team and demonstrating a high degree of cultural sensitivity.
