Job Specification

Reporting to the Executive Manager Logistics, the incumbent will on a rotational basis, be responsible for one of the four workstreams of the Distribution Centre. (Workstreams: Inbound, Inventory, Picking, Outbound).

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree (Logistics)
4 years related experience
Advanced level Microsoft Excel proficiency
Driver’s License & own transport
Blue Yonder WMS experience will be an advantage

Key performance indicators

Growth

Forecasting and planning of resource requirements (people and equipment) to support DC Throughput growth
Forecasting and planning of warehousing space allocation requirements to support DC Throughput growth
Forecasting and planning of Service Provider (3PL) requirements to support DC Throughput growth

Optimisation

Initiation and execution of DC resource optimisation initiatives
Optimising warehousing operations (materials handling)
Continuous evaluation of distribution processes and identification of opportunities for improvement
Execution of policies and standards pertaining to materials handling and ensuring compliance to safety standards

Leveraging Culture & Diversity

Set performance expectations, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture
Maintain internal and external stakeholder relations
Responsible for relationship management with stakeholders and ensures adherence to Service Level Agreements

Digital Transformation

Leveraging advanced system technologies to enhance the efficiency of the DC
Monitoring of systems service provider support
Maintaining accurate inventory records and executing inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and losses
