Job Overview:

Hire Resolve's Client is seeking a highly skilled and data-driven Power BI Specialist to join their team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing data-driven solutions using Power BI. This role involves transforming complex data sets into meaningful insights to drive strategic decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify reporting needs and ensure data accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness.
• Conduct data analysis and interpret trends, patterns, and insights using Power BI.
• Maintain and optimize data models, ensuring high performance and efficient querying.
• Integrate Power BI with various data sources (e.g., SQL databases, cloud services) to consolidate data for reporting.
• Apply data visualization best practices to produce clear, compelling, and user-friendly reports.
• Develop automated reporting solutions and scheduling processes.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and provide technical support for Power BI-related issues.
• Stay updated on Power BI updates, features, and best practices to enhance reporting capabilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Power BI Specialist, Data Analyst, or similar role.
• Proficiency in Power BI (desktop, service, and mobile), including Power Query and DAX.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts and data warehousing solutions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and deliver actionable insights.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data integration.
• Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Power BI or Microsoft Data Solutions.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
