Set the financial strategy and plans relating to all financial functions across the group
Responsibility for IFRS compliance across the group
Partner with the CFO and other executives to set objectives and targets
Monitor adherence to strategy and KPI’s for the financial functions and financial managers across the group
Guide and prepare consolidated budgets (operational and capital)
Compilation of head office budgets
Compliance with JSE listing requirements and adhere to reporting deadlines
Design, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures to ensure adequate financial control of the business
Investigations and analysis of errors and exceptions
Manage the external and internal audit process
Staff management
Statutory interim and annual reporting
Review of financial information in SENS announcements
Cost benchmarking exercises and insights
Responsibility of the maintenance of long-term business plans and financial forecasting models
Oversight and control over bank transfers
Engagement with banks and funders to effectively manage cash flow
Responsible for compliance with tax act and regulations
Review tax calculations and submission of tax returns
Liaise with SARS regarding tax disputes
Review monthly VAT calculations and submissions
Management of the share incentive scheme
Regular analysis of financial sustainability and growth requirements across the group
