HEAD: CATCHMENT PLANNING 

TCOE SALARY COMMENCING FROM R1,390,422 PER ANNUM ● WS 90/24 ● WATER AND SANITATION HEAD OFFICE, BELLVILLE

Requirements: 

• BTech in Civil Engineering, registered (or eligible to register) with ECSA as Pr Tech Eng OR BEng/BSc in Civil Engineering, in Engineering registered (or eligible to register) with ECSA as Pr Eng
• Minimum eight (8) years’ relevant experience at a senior level in the civil engineering and stormwater management fields 
• A Valid Code EB driver’s licence.  

Key performance areas:  

• Undertake and develop long-term infrastructure asset and operational management plans for storm water and river management
• Undertake and manage specialist consultant studies, hydraulic modelling and master planning, develop catchment and river corridor management plans, and design of storm water and river infrastructure
• Manage and control development (private and public) and operational activities in accordance with sustainable development principals, develop and coordinate pollution abatement strategies and action plans
• Lead, facilitate and manage stormwater and river-related aspects of the integrated urban water cycle, including stakeholder engagement and management, establishment and management of forums, and enforcement of the stormwater bylaw
• Lead and manage the regional catchment planning section, including management of staff and administrative functions.
