Our client, a leader in the logistics industry, is looking for a skilled Financial Manager for a four month contract role, the ideal candidate has a BCom Accounting degree and SAICA articles experience. This role involves overseeing financial operations, enhancing cost efficiencies, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. It’s a great opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain robust internal controls.
Conduct financial analysis to provide insights and support strategic decision-making.
Lead, mentor, and manage a small finance team, driving efficiency and growth.
Perform cost analysis and implement cost-saving measures to improve profitability.
Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and streamline processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: BCom Accounting with completed SAICA articles.
Experience: 3-5 years post-articles experience in a financial management role, ideally within the logistics or a related industry.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Syspro) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset and excellent attention to detail.
