A large international company in the FMCG environment has an opportunity for a Engineering Manager/Maintenance Manager.

Requirements:

Oversee and manage the maintenance of all plant equipment and facilities in Johannesburg.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Lead and mentor the maintenance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Coordinate with production and stakeholders, to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.
Manage maintenance budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Present reports defining maintenance progress, problems and solutions.
Identify areas for improvement and recommend real time solutions.
Participate in budget management to include development and forecasting.
Ensure effective and timely communication to all project stakeholders to include contractors, corporate and plant cross-functional teams and management.
Analyze work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, together with a GCC.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role within the food manufacturing industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of maintenance management software and tools.
Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
