SENIOR TECHNICIAN

BASIC SALARY: R499 822 PER ANNUM ● UWM 62/24

Requirements: 

• National Diploma in Built environment
• Qualification in Project Management (Advantageous)
• Eligible as a candidate Professional Technologist
• Five (5) to eight (8) years' relevant project management experience
• Valid driver's licence
• Computer literate in SAP and MS Office
• Willingness to travel extensively within the City of Cape Town.

Key performance areas:  

• Manage the development of infrastructure projects
• Establish and maintain business relationship with all relevant stakeholders
• Manage the effective execution of public/private development projects of functional area in order to maximise compliance
• Provide technical support by scrutinising and evaluating designs in order to assess the impact upon existing service infrastructure and recommending appropriate action
• Supervise and control the outcomes associated with the utilisation, productivity and performance of the units' human resources
• Participating in the induction programme and, providing 'on the job' training for new recruits to the department.
